Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Coast
An aircraft hovering near a well-attended southern California coastline suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a row of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Recordings uploaded on the internet depict the helicopter starting to spin over the shoreline then descending near the border of the coast, where it becomes wedged among palm groves and a steps close to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five persons were rushed to the hospital including two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three persons on the road were injured. Specifics on their condition were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
