The Brazilian star Offers Apology to Real Madrid Fans

Vinicius Jr in action

The attacker has netted five goals in 10 Spanish league matches during the current campaign.

The Madrid giants attacker Vinicius Jr has apologised to supporters for his conduct when taken off in the recent intense Clasico clash triumph.

The Brazilian was taken off in the 72nd min and showed his disappointment by going straight to the dressing room.

The Brazilian later returned to the bench and, after his team's 2-1 victory, attempted to approach Barça's opposing player during contentious final whistle scenes.

"Today I want to express regret to all the supporters for my reaction when I was taken off in the derby," he posted on X.

"In the same way as I have previously expressed during today's session, I also want to express regret anew to my team-mates, the club, and the leadership.

"At times passion overcomes me because I constantly desire to succeed and support my club. My winning mentality originates in the passion I hold for this institution and all it symbolizes."

Vinicius joined Real from Flamengo in recent years for £38.7m and has notched triple figures in 335 appearances.

But his prospects in the Spanish capital is unclear with reports in the past few months indicating that the club would think about allowing the player move on if they obtained a appropriate bid.

When Vinicius was replaced on Sunday, cameras from broadcaster the service recorded him stating: "Again me! I'm leaving the team! It's better if I leave, I'm going."

In his new post on the platform, the athlete commented: "I commit to keep fighting constantly for the good of Los Blancos, as I have done since the initial arrival."
